POLINI HI-SPEED 12-ROLLER VARIATOR FOR YAMAHA XMAX 300

The Polini Hi-Speed 12-roller variator has been developed to fully enhance the potential of the Yamaha XMAX and Tricity 300 Euro 4, Euro 5 and Euro 5+, making the transmission more responsive and the throttle reaction more effective: quicker acceleration, smoother power delivery and consistent operation throughout the entire riding range, at every rpm.

During starts and roll-on acceleration, the transmission works with greater responsiveness and continuity, improving the feeling of thrust and progression without sacrificing top speed, which can even improve thanks to a more efficient transmission and a carefully optimized setup.

The 12-roller configuration allows a better weight distribution, providing a clear advantage: better balance, smoother sliding and reduced vibrations. At Polini each variator is individually balanced, one by one, to ensure consistent quality and repeatable performance over time.

The HI-Speed project integrates a patented lubrication system designed to deliver high efficiency and quick response while maintaining reliability as a top priority, even for everyday use.

A distinctive element is the quenched/case-hardened steel pin with DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coating: the enlarged internal bag acts as a grease reservoir and, inside it, a dedicated spring ensures constant lubricant distribution on the pin.

The rollers use a technical compound based on nylon and aramid fibers, designed to withstand stress and high temperatures while maintaining sliding precision and durability.
