ECU remapping with Polini SmartMap
Polini Motori presents Polini SmartMap, the new electronic device designed to remap the original scooter EC, safely, reversible and completely autonomous way.
Polini SmartMap is a portable device that temporarily connects to the motorcycle diagnostic port. Through a dedicated app, simple and intuitive, the system allows users to read the original ECU map, save it and write up to four customized Polini maps directly into the original ECU.
Once the remapping process is completed, Polini SmartMap is disconnected: the device does not remain installed on the vehicle and no permanent connection is required. The motorcycle or scooter will operate with the new mapping permanently stored in the ECU, without additional components, wiring, or external modules.
Polini maps, diagnostics and cloud connection
The four available maps are developed and validated by Polini engineers, designed to ensure the best engine performance according to the installed components, while maintaining high standards of reliability and safety. The original map is always stored and can be restored at any time, returning the ECU to its stock configuration.
In addition to remapping, Polini SmartMap integrates advanced diagnostic functions, allowing users to read the main ECU parameters and clear any error codes. All operations are carried out directly on the original ECU, with no permanent hardware modifications.
Thanks to cloud connectivity and direct Polini support, maps are quickly sent, updated and managed, allowing the system to adapt over time to new vehicle configurations or future technical developments.
Design, usability and dedicated wiring
Compact, robust and intuitive, Polini SmartMap is equipped with clear LED indicators that guide the user through the ECU reading and writing phases, making the operation simple and controlled.
Dedicated wiring harnesses are available to connect Polini SmartMap to the vehicle’s diagnostic port, specific for each scooter type and model.
The wirings are designed to ensure a correct and safe connection fully compliant with the original electrical system, avoiding improper adaptations or connections.
Currently Polini maps are available for two scooter models; further applications are under development and will be progressively released for additional models.
The wirings are sold separately and identified by specific product codes, allowing precise selection based on the target vehicle.
