This ongoing commitment to research and development translates not only into an expansion of the available applications, but also into the continuous evolution of existing products, with technical updates designed to improve acceleration, power delivery and smoothness of operation.

The latest news is the Maxi Hi-Speed variator for the Aprilia SR GT 400 and Piaggio Beverly 400 born with a precise goal: to increase sprint and acceleration, ensuring a linear shift all the way to top speed. More grit off the line, more decisive acceleration, and all the smoothness of a transmission tuned to make a difference.

At the heart of this evolution is the new roller sliding track profile, recalculated to optimize shifting progression. The silicon-aluminum alloy half-pulley is machined using ultra-high-precision CNC machines with diamond finishing: meticulous craftsmanship designed to turn manufacturing precision into performance.

The patented Polini lubrication system ensures a constant distribution of grease across the sliding surfaces. The hub’s spacious internal pocket acts as a reservoir and, thanks to a special spring, maintains active lubrication even under the most demanding operating conditions.

The nickel-chromium steel hub with a surface DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) anti-wear treatment reduces friction and improves wear resistance. Smooth sliding and consistent performance over time: technology backs up performance, acceleration after acceleration.

Rounding out the upgrade are the 25 x 12 mm calibrated rollers, 12 grams each, highly durable and manufactured with a specific formula to promote smooth sliding.
