Polini italian Cup: the season starts with the first race in Latina

With the first race disputed on Sunday 10^th April on the track of Sagittario, Polini Italian Cup season 2022 starts officially! An important edition because this year the most popular national Scooter turns 18 and thus reaches its majority, full of innovation and show!

SCOOTER 100 BIG EVOLUTION OPEN:

In 100 Big Evo Open, races in name of adrenaline. On the first round, lightning quick start of the five protagonist riders. The fall of the Spanish Oliva at mid-race mixes the deck, slows down Tiraferri and paves the way to Paolo Birtele, first under the chequered flag before Filippo Corsi and Alessandro Blando.

In Race2 chaos in the first positions. Starnone makes a mistake and slips and involves Corsi, who can anyway start again. In the tough fight for the podium, Tiraferri passes Oliva on the last bend, who goes straight to victory, followed by Birtele.

SCOOTER 70 EVOLUTION

In 70 Evolution, absolute supremacy of Daniel Guerrero who, through a double win, ranks at the top of parade with full score. Behind him, two second positions for Luca Zani, as Angelo Fontana gets on the third step of podium, thanks to the third and fourth position.

SCOOTER 70 SUPERSPORT

In 70 Supersport class, unquestioned double win. The protagonist is Danny Raccagni: he easily wins in Race 1 and on the second round wins on a final sprint before Davide Manzo, second in the day race, and Davide Moglia, who’s been pinched of the third day position by Matteo Tortosa.

SCOOTER 70 AMATORI

Finally, in 70 Fans, challenge for the victory between Gabriele Rea and Alberto Sfiller, who alternate first under the chequered flag and become leaders of the championship classification with 41 points. Third position for Gabriele Gassani.

The opening round of Polini South Cup Championship 2022 is coupled with the first race of Polini Italian Cup in Latina, organised in cooperation with Moto Club Napoli and Moto Club Bergamo. Two classes: Polini 70 Evolution and Polini 70 Fans. The winners of the relative classes are Piero Pisani (Fans) and Angelo Fontana (Evolution).

The winner of 2021 edition Marco Curini (54) competed freely as a reward of the victory of last year, as official rider of Polini Scooter team.
