Polini Italian Cup 2021 Adria

FIRE BATTLES

Welcome to the corrida. In Adria, at the third race of Polini Italian Cup, the Spanish Juan Francisco Oliva, by winning Scooter 100 Big Evolution, staked a claim on the championship, and set off once more the “made in Europe” aspect of this National Championship and left an open door for a season final at the highest level.

Polini Italian Cup’s strength is to be open: after careful analysis of the contest among the competing scooters, with the new generation represented by Yamaha Jog versus the veteran Zip-Piaggio, we discover that Luca Zani, the winner of Scooter 70 Evo SuperSport, brought a Diesis-Piaggio to victory: its production dates back to 2001. Proving that Polini Italian Cup organised by Moto Club Bergamo is really open to all.

POLINI ITALIAN CUP 2021
SCOOTER 100 BIG EVOLUTION OPEN:
SPANISH GLADIATOR

In Race-1 Juan Francisco Oliva right away takes the lead as Matteo Tiraferri gets the Spanish on the ropes, Filippo Corsi and Alessandro Blando follow the same fate; this one is however the protagonist of a bad fall.

Oliva and Tiraferri have made quite a distance from the others, as the last lap is breath-taking, where Polini’s official rider loses the final sprint because of a slip and ends on fifth position. Oliva wins before Corsi, Morelli, Vignone.

In Race-2 Oliva is always the quickest at starting grid, as Corsi falls on the first bend. Tiraferri rapidly reaches Oliva, the two are protagonists of a new hard contest, followed by Blando and Morelli. Oliva wins again, Tiraferri is second while losing precious metres over the Spanish on the last bend because of a slight contact.

Day podium: Oliva, Morelli, Tiraferri.

SCOOTER 70 EVOLUTION AMATORI:
DOUBLE  TORTOSA

In Race-1 Andrea Guzzon sprints from the pole position, but the quickest is Alessandro Caminati, chased by Matteo Tortosa and Michele Querengo. Andrea Casagrande follows the group led by Caminati. But the most concrete is Tortosa, who wins by taking advantage of Casagrande’s slide where Querengo is involved too. The second is Guzzon, Caminati third.

In Race-2 Guzzon is a lightning, followed by Caminati, Tortosa and the outsiders Querengo and Morselli. Guzzon tries to force, but Tortosa finds the right pace and overtakes him. Querengo slides and thwarts his performance. Guzzon and Caminati end up behind Tortosa.

Day podium: Tortosa, Guzzon, Caminati.

POLINI ITALIAN CUP 2021
SCOOTER 70 EVOLUTION SUPERSPORT:
IRON ZANI

Gabriele Beghelli is the quickest at starting grid of Race-1, chased by Simone Lanzilao and Luca Zani. The Slovenian Luka Koren recovers over the three riders, when, once the gap is annulled, he throws himself into the fight for final victory. Zani can make off until finish line where he precedes Lanzilao, Mihael, Koren and Beghelli.

In Race-2 Lanzilao takes the lead followed by Zani, Koren and Beghelli. Lanzilao tries to impose his pace, but Zani attacks, overtakes him and wins through a sequence of most rapid laps. Lanzilao loses ground for a slip and opens the way to Koren preceding Beghelli, Belardinelli and the fast Calabrian Giuseppe Iannini.

Day podium: Zani, Koren, Beghelli.
