Edition number 17 of Polini Italian Cup 2021 concluded on the track of Ottabiano (PV), through one of the most beautiful races in terms of intensity, twists, day winners and assignment of the new national titles in this season with Yamaha Jog scooters, chosen by the most qualified teams and their top riders, to oppose the more and more performing Piaggio Zip scooters. Polini Italian Cup is perfectly organised by Moto Club Bergamo.

SCOOTER 100 BIG EVOLUTION OPEN:
NATIONAL SPAIN

Two races have been marked by a sequence of twists of the national champion, the Spanish Juan Francisco Oliva, the protagonist of some slips, that right away provoked a conflict among Alessandro Blando, Filippo Corsi, Andrea Vignone and Matteo Tiraferri. Vignone, after passing Tiraferri and Corsi, slides, as Blando falls on the ground on a bad high-side and suffers the suspected fracture of the pelvis. Race-1 ends with the victory of Tiraferri preceding Corsi, Vignone, Martin Mihael and Nico Morelli.

In Race-2, new attack row, composed of Corsi, Tiraferri, Vignone, fighting till the moment when they all slide, one by one, and leave the victory to the incredulous Oliva, first before Corsi and Morelli.
Day podium: Tiraferri, Corsi, Vignone.

TORTOSA IS THE CHAMPION

Race-1 starts on wet asphalt, Andrea Casagrande gets caught by Dario Di Fiore, followed by Mirko Leporati, as Davide Morselli slips. Alessandro Barbin follows Leporati and Di Fiore. On finish line, Di Fiore overcomes before Leporati, Barbin and Casagrande.

In Race-2, on dry track, Alessandro Caminati has a good sprint, chased by Di Fiore and Casagrande. Tortosa, championship leader, initially controls his adversaries, then passes all and goes to win race and title.

SCOOTER 70 EVOLUTION SUPERSPORT:
LANZILAO ON FINAL SPRINT


In Race-1 Zani takes the lead before Luka Koren and Gabriele Beghelli, as the championship leader, Simone Lanzilao, is fifth. At mid-race, Lanzilao slides while trying to pass Koren but restarts immediately in his run-up to the title. Beghelli passes Zani and goes to win the session, Koren is third before Mihael and Lanzilao.

In Race-2 Lanzilao is the most rapid and tries to escape from Koren and Zani. After a series of overtakings and position changes, Lanzilao passes Koren and crosses first the finish line and wins the title too. On the opposite, Zani slips, loses his last chance to aim to the podium.
